Will steel rust if i wash it?

ive got a jacket with brass studs in it and the brass doesnt rust. im not sure about these new steel ones, and i dont wanna ruin my jacket. Will steel rust if i wash it?
They will be stainless steel so shouldn't rust.

You will also be OK as I assume after washing you will be drying it.Will steel rust if i wash it?
No the button's will not rust. the reson for this is becuase modern laundry powders contains corrosion and rist inhibitors. Woulnt pay to leave it wet though. wash and then dry it right away that way the buttons wont remain damp and slowly rust once out of the washing machine.
Just dry them right after and they should be fine.
Steel will corrode if it is not dried in a certain (24-48hours) Amount of time or is in a place where it is humid or which it can not dry.
If you have steel studs, they are probably plated with something (often, nickel) to inhibit rust. If you wash it, just dry it promptly and keep it dry when not in use, and that will protect it even if the studs are not rust-resistant.
Not as long as you dry it after-wards
I'm assuming you will wash and DRY the jacket. Hence, no rust. It won't be wet long enough.
It's almost certainly stainless steel, which won't rust.
